How to Change People
People change through faith – by applying it to them. Not to the person they *are right now*, but to the person they *ought to be*.
Not to the bud that hasn't yet opened (or is already wilting), but to the blossomed flower.
Faith sees clearly what a person should be – and should be, first and foremost, not to anyone else, but to themselves.
To believe is both to perceive and to act.
Through faith, one can help a person grow («open the bud into a flower»), rejuvenate them («return the life-giving sap to the flower»), and most often – do all of this at once.
The «Everything Everywhere All at Once» movie is about faith; about how faith journeys through the multiverse – countless versions of life – and finds the one truly Right path.
If you believe in a person, they will always be in full bloom, radiant, shining as themselves.
You can change people by helping them become the best version of themselves. Yet deep down, you're not changing them at all – you're helping them return, «come home» – to the core of their personality; to the Heart. To who they always were, should be, and deep down – already are.
To their original essence. To their primordial nature.
In this sense, faith in God is very simple – it's faith in a certain standard of everything, a vision and attraction to the inner essence of all (for God is omnipresent) processes, phenomena, people, events, and things. And, of course, of oneself.
A person with sincere faith makes every moment of their life, and the world around them, a little truer – and therefore more right, better, brighter, and more comfortable for everyone and everything. That's probably why they say God (as the measure, the standard, the essence of the entire world) is One.
From the right decision, everyone wins.
Everyone.
You only need to look where this ray of faith points, and take that one single step.
From who you are now – to who you ought to be. Yes, this step may seem difficult (though it's just one).
If that's so – remember that this right step will trigger a «chain reaction of faith», which in turn will make the world around you – the whole world – a little better.
